One of my spreads in the November issue of the pioneer. Written by Lisa Creamer. Photographed by me.
Frank Mugisha, of Uganda and executive director of Sexual Minorities Uganda, protested with allies outside the Federal Court house in Springfield on 12/7/12. One month before the Center for Constitutional Rights brings a case against Scott Lively to this same court. Scott Lively lives in Springfield and has been active in Uganda writing and passing the controversial anti-gay bill (dubbed ‘Kill the Gays’ bill). A bill that would allow life imprisonment or the death sentence for people ‘caught’ in an LGBTQ relationship. I took portraits of people with their signs at the protest.
